There have been quite a few news regarding Any Human Heart as it’s premiering this Sunday on Channel 4.

Channel 4 has uploaded interviews and behind the scenes video clips of the cast here. You are able to watch them by clicking on the pictures.

Additionally two preview clips of the upcoming episode have been uploaded. They are called “Ernest Hemingway” and “Oxford Nights” (both featuring scenes of Sam as Logan Mountstuart).

The Press and Journal has published an interview with the three Logans, Sam Claflin, Matthew Macfadyen and Jim Broadbent.

“I’m sure as soon as the criticism starts coming in there will be more pressure, but at the moment I’m still living in that honeymoon period,” he says modestly.

“The roles have been very similar, in the sense they are all very naive characters. It would be amazing to do something on the opposite spectrum. But at the same time, I’m having a whale of a time. I’m very lucky to be where I am.”

Any Human Heart Cast Interview

AOL TV UK have interviewed the cast of Any Human Heart including Sam, Gillian Anderson, Hayley Atwell and Jim Broadbent. To read the full article and interview please visit the AOL website!

Sam Claflin, you have the delicious task of playing a young sex-hungry Logan. I hate to lower the tone but there’s a lot of sex…

Sam Claflin: It was a little awkward to say the least. I don’t think I’d even kissed a girl in a show before. I think we kind of laughed through it and got through it as…a threesome? It was good fun. I wouldn’t say I’d like to jump into bed with the next woman who comes along in television, but I wouldn’t mind!

Do any of you keep journals or diaries, like Logan in Any Human Heart?

SC: Er, no. I feel like I’ve let myself down.

Any Human Heart is available for pre-order as DVD or Blu-ray on Amazon.co.uk.

Both disc sets will be released on December 27th. It features quite a few special features including one that’s called In Oxford with Sam Claflin.

There’s a short behind the scenes clip on Amazon which features Sam quite a bit. He’s shown filming for the series and a short interview snippet.

(Thanks to Darcylicious for the heads-up!)

A user of Darcylicious was in attendance at the Bafta screening for Any Human Heart and mentioned that William Boyd, Hayley Atwell and Sam were on stage for a Q & A after the screening. She also mentioned that Matthew Macfadyen was reading the book during filming of The Pillars of the Earth and Sam had asked about it but didn’t think about it again. Matthew called him when they were all back home and told him that he got the part and that he’d suggested Sam to the production team (isn’t that awesome?). You can read the report here.

If someone attended the screening and managed to take pictures of the cast after the screening, please consider donating the images. It would be much appreciated (and credit will be given of course)!

Jim Broadbent has said he’s flattered that Matthew MacFadyen has been cast as a younger version of the character he’s playing in a TV drama.

Both actors play writer Logan Mountstuart in Channel 4 drama Any Human Heart, based on the book by William Boyd, who has also written the TV script.

Broadbent said: “I should be so lucky to have such a handsome young man playing me and then there’s an even younger and arguably more handsome man playing an even younger one than him – Sam Clalfin.”

Broadbent said of the forthcoming drama: “I think it’s a great script. I hope it’s going to be very exciting and wonderful.”

Any Human Heart is due on our screens in November.
